Overall the 30 days to healthy living program changed my behaviour about food. It educated me about the need to feel well to perform well in the job.
I realised that food affects my behaviour, when I am eating well I feel better and perform better.
From a clarity point of view I think better because I feel better and more alert. I feel energised and have noticed that I am no longer lethargic. I am able to focus on what I am doing without needing coffee or other stimulants to concentrate for long periods of time.
I lost 7.8kg in that first month, biggest thing was that it shifted my mindset about losing weight and then I went on to lose another 7kg. I had been trying to lose weight for a long time and couldn’t shift it. Now I feel like I am in control.
The new awareness has helped me make better choices in my life - I didn’t expect that I wouldn’t 'feel like' coffee or alcohol anymore. My behaviour is completely different.
I had known Jo for many years and she became my coach and mentor about 4 Years ago. The business results have been remarkable, with massive increases in our sales - this financial year is 25% higher than our best year ever.
More importantly is Jo’s style of coaching and her personal attributes. For over 25 years in the private sector, public sector and in consulting I’ve seen many good small and medium sized enterprises in the Transport Engineering and Construction fail to become great businesses. I've also seen successful tenders badly transitioned into the project phase and a host of major projects fail to get off the ground quickly enough. The cost to business in in terms of lost time and opportunity cost translates to tens of millions of dollars.
What’s the common thread in turning all of this around? It’s all about Strategy. Knowing what needs to be done, but more importantly knowing the order
in which each task or project needs to be done, is the essence of a successful and well-executed strategy.
My experience in this sector spans over 25 years, working in roles as a consulting engineer, project advisor, executive manager and in recent years as
an encite business coach.
